Why the Fantasy Football Report Card Exists

Most fantasy tools analyze players. This tool analyzes you. It exists to separate skill vs luck, grade your decisions, and reveal your manager identity — across every Sleeper league and season you choose.

Common Trap

Standings Don’t Tell the Truth

Win-loss record is noisy. A manager can win with bad decisions — or lose while doing everything right. The Report Card grades what matters: how you manage.

  • Stops “record = skill” illusions
  • Explains why seasons felt unfair
  • Reveals process strengths/weaknesses
Core Difference

Skill vs Luck — Split Into Two GPAs

Unlike basic trackers, the Report Card separates what you control from what you don’t — so you can score high even in unlucky years, and get exposed when results outpace decision quality.

  • Process GPA: lineup, waivers, trades, roster construction
  • Results GPA: wins, playoffs, titles, top finishes
  • Shows if you’re improving year over year
The Hook

It Reveals Your Manager Identity

This isn’t “rate my team.” It’s behavioral analytics. You get a manager archetype, a one-sentence verdict, and achievements that turn your history into a fantasy résumé.

  • Redraft + Dynasty archetypes (different frameworks)
  • Trade grades for every deal (impact-based)
  • Badges + career history across seasons
Not rankings. Not weekly advice. A report card for serious managers — skill vs luck, archetypes, trade grades, and career analytics.

How the Fantasy Report Card Grades You

Most fantasy tools blur results and skill together. The Report Card separates what you control from what you can’t — so you can tell if you’re actually improving, or just riding variance.

What You Control

Process GPA (Skill)

Grades your decision-making — the things that create long-term edge. This score can stay elite even when a season breaks badly.

Lineup Decisions Start/sit quality + optimization
Waiver Aggression Timing, churn, and hit rate
Trade Quality Impact-based scoring per deal
Roster Construction Balance, depth, and structure
Risk Management Volatility profile + decision tilt
  • Best for answering: “Am I actually good?”
  • Explains why your process wins long-term
  • Feeds your archetype + manager verdict
What Happened

Results GPA (Outcomes)

Grades what showed up in the standings and trophy case. This score is real — but it’s not always a reflection of skill.

Win Rate Season + career consistency
Playoff Rate How often you give yourself a shot
Championships Titles and top finishes
Season Strength Placement distribution over time
Career History Résumé view: seasons + milestones
  • Best for answering: “Am I getting lucky?”
  • Tracks trophies, playoff runs, and finishes
  • Compares redraft vs dynasty performance
Premium truth: You can win and still grade poorly. You can lose and still grade elite. The Report Card shows which one you are — instantly.

Your Manager Identity — Not Just Your Record

The Report Card doesn’t just grade outcomes — it profiles how you manage. You get a manager archetype based on behavioral analytics, then a one-sentence verdict that explains your style in plain English.

Redraft Framework

Weekly Behavior Metrics

Redraft is a weekly decision game. We analyze your habits across the season to identify your true style.

Lineup Decisions start/sit accuracy + optimization
Waiver Aggression timing, churn, and hit rate
Trade Temperament frequency + impact profile
Risk Appetite volatility and tilt
Performance Profile streaks, consistency, clutch
  • Built for “how you play” — not just the standings
  • Feeds your redraft archetype + verdict
  • Pairs with Process vs Results GPA
Dynasty Framework

Long-Term Strategy Metrics

Dynasty is a portfolio strategy game. We grade how you build, trade, and allocate draft capital over time.

Window Alignment win-now vs rebuild timing
Draft Capital Posture pick investment + conversion
Market Activity trade volume + leverage
Youth vs Veteran Tilt age curve preferences
League Integrity roster coherence + direction
  • Shows if you’re building with intention or drifting
  • Compares dynasty style vs your redraft profile
  • Pairs with career history and trade grades
Archetype System

You’ll Be Classified Into a Manager Archetype

Based on your GPA split + behavior metrics, the tool assigns one of multiple archetypes — then gives you a one-sentence verdict you can actually use.

Redraft
Trade Shark
Aggressive dealmaker who wins on leverage.
Redraft
Volatility Gambler
High ceiling swings — big wins, big variance.
Redraft
Set-It-And-Forget-It
Stable habits — low churn, predictable outcomes.
Dynasty
Rebuild Architect
Future-focused planner with clear direction.
Dynasty
Win-Now Warlord
Pushes chips in — optimized for titles.
Dynasty
Future Hoarder
Collects picks and flexibility — patient builder.
Verdict Example
Process Purist — you consistently make sharp decisions, but your results swing with variance.
Shareable Actionable No fluff
Archetypes are powered by your GPA split + behavioral metrics — so your “identity” is earned, not guessed.

Fantasy Football Report Card FAQ

Quick answers on how the StatChasers Fantasy Football Report Card works, what it measures, and how to interpret your grades.

What is the StatChasers Fantasy Football Report Card?
The Fantasy Football Report Card is a Sleeper-connected analytics tool that grades your performance as a fantasy manager. Enter your Sleeper username, choose a season, and get a portfolio report with dual GPA scores (Process vs Results), trade grades, manager archetypes, badges, and career history.
Is the Report Card tool free to use?
Access can vary by release phase. If you can open the tool and run your report, you’re good to go. Launch it here: Fantasy Football Report Card.
How does the dual GPA system work (Process GPA vs Results GPA)?
The tool separates decision quality from season outcomes. Process GPA grades how you manage (lineups, waivers, trades, roster construction, risk profile). Results GPA grades what happened (wins, playoff rate, titles, top finishes). This helps answer: “Am I actually good?” vs “Am I getting lucky?”
Does this work for both Redraft and Dynasty leagues?
Yes. The Report Card supports Redraft and Dynasty league types and uses different behavioral frameworks for each. In “All Leagues” mode you can compare which format you’re stronger in. For Sleeper league formats and data concepts, see the Sleeper API documentation.
Where does the Report Card get its data?
The Report Card uses public league information available through Sleeper’s platform data endpoints. You can learn more about the platform and data structure from Sleeper and the Sleeper API docs.
Do I need to connect my Sleeper account or enter a password?
No. You only enter your Sleeper username. The tool does not require your password. It uses public Sleeper league data to generate your report. (Tip: confirm your exact username in the Sleeper app or on sleeper.com.)
How are trades graded in the Fantasy Report Card?
Trades are scored using an impact-based approach that evaluates the deal within your league context. Grades include Great / Good / Neutral / Poor and consider factors like lineup impact, positional fit, and short-term vs long-term gain (especially in dynasty). For official NFL player/team context while reviewing deals, many managers reference Pro-Football-Reference.
What is a “manager archetype” and how is it determined?
Your archetype is a manager personality label derived from your behavioral metrics and GPA split. Redraft archetypes focus on weekly habits (waiver aggression, risk appetite, lineup behavior). Dynasty archetypes focus on long-term strategy (window alignment, draft capital posture, market activity). You also receive a one-sentence verdict summarizing your profile.
Can I run the report for past seasons?
Yes — select a season in the tool (when available) to generate a historical report card. This lets you see improvement over time and compare your best and worst years.
Is this the same as a “Rate My Team” tool?
No. “Rate My Team” tools typically evaluate a single roster at one point in time. The Fantasy Report Card evaluates how you manage across a season (and across seasons), including decision quality, trade impact, archetypes, and career history — using Sleeper league data.
How accurate are the grades and what should I do with them?
Treat the report as a directional audit. The most valuable signal is the relationship between Process GPA and Results GPA. If your Process GPA is high but Results GPA is low, you’re likely due for positive regression. If Results GPA is high but Process GPA is low, you may be winning in ways that won’t hold. For strategy fundamentals, you can cross-reference general fantasy concepts at FantasyPros.
How do I find my Sleeper username?
Open the Sleeper app, go to your profile, and copy your username exactly (spelling matters). You can also check your profile on sleeper.com.
