Heading into the Monday night doubleheader, 26 teams have wrapped up their Week 7 contests—and the fireworks didn’t disappoint. Offenses exploded across the league: 13 teams scored at least 25 points, and 10 topped 30. Fantasy football managers couldn’t have asked for a better Sunday slate.
Of course, it wasn’t all good news. Some big names let us down, others got hurt, and a few players showed they’re no longer worth a roster spot. Here are 21 things you need to know from Week 7—split into Overperformers, Underperformers, Drops, and Injuries to Monitor.
Overperformers
Bo Nix (QB, DEN)
Bo Nix posted the single highest fantasy score of the 2025 season so far—40 points in Half-PPR formats. Against the Giants, he threw for 279 yards, ran for 48, scored four total touchdowns, and added two two-point conversions. The rookie became the first player ever to throw and rush for two TDs in one quarter. Unreal.
Jaxson Dart (QB, NYG)
Dart matched Nix blow-for-blow for most of the day, tossing three passing TDs and one rushing TD. Even in a narrow loss, the rookie’s dual-threat ability keeps him firmly on the 2QB radar—and arguably startable in 1QB formats next week versus Philly.
Christian McCaffrey (RB, SF)
Vintage CMC: 201 total yards, 2 TDs, and 32 opportunities. He reminded us why he’s the fantasy RB1 whenever he’s on the field. If you somehow “sold high” a few weeks back, you’re regretting it now.
Quinshon Judkins (RB, CLE)
Three touchdowns on 25 carries against Miami’s broken run defense. He’s now scored in five of six games, giving him low-end RB1 stability with upside in positive game scripts.
Devonta Smith & A.J. Brown (WRs, PHI)
Smith set a career high with 183 yards and a TD, while Brown added 121 yards and two scores. The Eagles offense finally clicked, and both wideouts look like must-starts again.
Rashee Rice (WR, KC)
Fresh off suspension, Rice returned to 10 targets, 7 catches, 2 TDs, and instantly reclaimed Patrick Mahomes’ trust. He’s a weekly top-20 WR moving forward.
Oronde Gadsden II (TE, LAC)
Herbert’s new favorite weapon exploded for 164 yards and a score, setting a rookie TE record. He’s this week’s must-add waiver pickup at the position.
Trey McBride (TE, ARI)
McBride doubled his 2024 TD total in one afternoon—10 receptions, 74 yards, 2 TDs. With Kyler Murray nearing a return, McBride is locked in as a top-five fantasy tight end.
Jonathan Taylor (RB, IND)
The Colts offense dropped 38 points behind Taylor’s 132 total yards and 3 TDs. He’s now scored 10 times in his last five games and is closing in on CMC for RB1 overall.
Jake Ferguson (TE, DAL)
Ferguson’s two touchdowns on seven catches brought his season total to six. He’s quietly a top-three TE in touchdowns and remains Dak Prescott’s favorite red-zone option.
Underperformers
Caleb Williams (QB, CHI)
Facing a soft Saints defense, Williams managed just 172 yards and an interception with no scores. It’s his worst fantasy outing of the year—chalk it up to an off day, but monitor trends.
Saquon Barkley (RB, PHI)
Another disappointing line: 18 carries for 44 yards, negative receiving yards. His volume is fine, but efficiency is plummeting. Still startable, but no longer matchup-proof.
Jaylen Waddle (WR, MIA)
One catch. Fifteen yards. That’s it. With Tua unraveling and Waller possibly done for the year, Waddle’s ceiling is capped until this offense resets.
Tony Pollard (RB, TEN)
Six carries for 18 yards, salvaged only by 43 receiving yards. The explosiveness is gone, and he’s losing ground to Tyjae Spears. Time to sell before it’s too late.
Trevor Lawrence (QB, JAX)
48 pass attempts, one TD. Jacksonville’s offense is broken, and Lawrence hasn’t hit 20 fantasy points since Week 2. He’s a matchup-based streamer, nothing more.
Drop Candidates
Geno Smith (QB, LV)
He threw for 67 yards in a 31-0 loss. That’s not a typo. The Raiders have scored 26 total points over their last three games. Time to cut bait in all formats.
Tua Tagovailoa (QB, MIA)
Three picks, zero touchdowns, and benched. It’s officially panic time in Miami. You can drop him for a streamer like Joe Flacco, who looks better in fantasy right now.
TreVeyon Henderson (RB, NE)
Just two carries for five yards. Rhamondre Stevenson has fully taken over. Henderson’s a stash-only handcuff, not a startable player.
Ryan Flournoy (WR, DAL)
After back-to-back double-digit target weeks, he logged zero opportunities. With CeeDee Lamb back, there’s no reason to keep him rostered.
Injuries to Monitor
Jayden Daniels (QB, WSH)
Left with a hamstring injury and didn’t return. An MRI is scheduled Monday, and Marcus Mariota would start if Daniels misses time. He’s a stash in 2QB leagues but expect at least a one-week absence.
Bonus Notes:
- Bryce Young (ankle) left mid-game; Andy Dalton would start if he’s out.
- Darren Waller (pectoral) may be done for the year if the tear is confirmed.
- Brian Thomas Jr. (shoulder) and Dontayvion Wicks (ankle) also exited early.
Final Thoughts
Week 7 gave us the highest-scoring fantasy Sunday of the season so far, a record-breaking performance from Bo Nix, and a potential wave of QB changes looming across the league. If your team underperformed, don’t panic—there’s still time to capitalize on overreactions and snag emerging stars.
