A fourth-round pick out of Mississippi State, Thompson arrives in Los Angeles carrying genuine track speed, having clocked a 4.26 forty at the combine. That gear translated on tape, where he turned 57 grabs into 1,054 yards and six scores last fall. New coordinator Mike McDaniel is reportedly intrigued by the profile, and a low ECR around the 370 range means there is almost no draft-day cost to chasing the upside.

The path, though, is narrow. McConkey and Johnston own the top two spots, and Thompson must beat out Tre Harris just to claim the No. 3 job. At 5'9" and 170 pounds, he projects as a pure field-stretcher who struggles to break tackles and may cede red-zone work. Projections of roughly 10 catches for 121 yards reflect that low-volume reality. Stash him in deep dynasty formats and monitor the camp battle, but he is a bench flier in seasonal leagues.
