Bankston arrives in New York as a deep-roster flier rather than a fantasy asset, an undrafted-caliber back out of New Mexico checking in at 5'10" and 186 pounds. Expert consensus pegs him near the very bottom of the position at RB208, he carries no statistical projection for the year, and he is rostered in essentially zero leagues. That combination tells the whole story: he is fighting for a spot on the back end of the Giants' backfield, not for touches that matter on Sundays.

The schedule offers little to dream on either, even if a path to snaps opened up. New York draws a soft early slate, but a Week 1 game against Dallas and an easy opening trio against the Rams, Titans and Cardinals only matter if Bankston survives cutdowns first. Until he forces his way into a defined role, treat him purely as a watch-list name in deep dynasty formats.
