Luke Schoonmaker Rest-of-Season Outlook
depth TE for deep leagues only
TE63 through Week 4 · 1.4 PPG
Preseason Projection vs. Reality
He finished TE70 last season at 1.6 points per game.
Our Take After Week 4
Through 3 games he's TE63 at 1.4 PPR points per game, against 1.6 over 17 games last season (TE70). The role is producing the same fantasy output two years running.
Last season he ranked 61st of 81 in route participation (25.6%), 57th of 82 in target share (3.8%) and 61st of 82 in efficiency (0.79 yards per route run). Route participation is the soft spot. Dak Prescott is his quarterback.
He's TE3 on the depth chart, so his value depends on the players ahead of him.
Read our preseason outlook (June 2026)
Published June 16, 2026. Kept for reference; the take above replaces it.
Schoonmaker's 2025 line tells the whole story: 14 games, a 32.9% snap rate, and just 23 targets for a 3.8% share that left him 62nd at the position. He ran only 167 routes, turning them into 14 catches for 132 yards and zero touchdowns at a thin 0.79 yards per route. The 0.158 EPA per play and 43.5% success rate were a clear step back from 2024, when his 0.186 targets per route, 1.24 YPRR, and 5.8% share hinted at more.
The efficiency dip matters because the volume isn't coming. As long as Jake Ferguson owns the position, Schoonmaker is a blocking-tier afterthought drafted around TE67, well outside startable range. He's a Ferguson-injury handcuff and nothing more right now. Until a real route share materializes, there's no reason to roster him in any standard format heading into 2026.
