Our Take After Week 4

Through 3 games he's WR47 at 8.3 PPR points per game, against 4.1 over 17 games last season (WR90). He's running ahead of last season's pace.

Last season he ranked 85th of 142 in target volume (7.9% target share), 91st of 142 in downfield role (8.8% air-yards share) and 93rd of 142 in efficiency (1.19 yards per route run). Efficiency is the soft spot. Justin Herbert is his quarterback.

The main risk is the job itself. He's the listed starter with Brenen Thompson next on the depth chart, and a benching or an injury would take his value to zero overnight.

Read our preseason outlook (June 2026)

Published June 17, 2026. Kept for reference; the take above replaces it.

Harris closed his rookie year as WR85 with a meager 39.4 fantasy points, a function of role rather than talent: the Ole Miss product ran routes on just 43.5 percent of dropbacks and saw a 7.9 percent target share across 16 games. When targeted he was sharp, catching 30 of 43 for 324 yards on a 69.8 percent catch rate, a 0.356 EPA per play, and a 60.5 percent success rate, with a clean 2.3 percent drop rate that hints at reliable hands on a 9.26 air-yards-per-target diet.

The problem is opportunity. A 48.5 percent snap share and a 0.18 WOPR leave him a clear depth piece behind Ladd McConkey and Quentin Johnston in a Chargers offense that spreads it around. A full-time route share would unlock real upside given the efficiency, but that is a projection, not a present reality. For 2026 redraft he is a late-round dart and bench stash with breakout equity if injuries open snaps; otherwise leave him on the wire in shallow leagues.
