Our Take After Week 4

Through 3 games he's RB75 at 1.6 PPR points per game, against 1.3 over 7 games last season (RB107). The role is producing the same fantasy output two years running.

Last season he ranked 76th of 95 in rushing volume (2.0 carries per game), 77th of 95 in receiving role (0.5 targets per game) and 10th of 95 in efficiency (2.67 yards after contact per carry). His points come from his efficiency. Receiving role is the soft spot. Bryce Young is his quarterback.

He's RB2 on the depth chart, so his value depends on the players ahead of him.

The next favorable matchup is the Packers in Week 8 (2nd against RBs).

Read our preseason outlook (June 2026)

Published June 16, 2026. Kept for reference; the take above replaces it.

Dillon's 2025 line tells the whole story: six games, an 11.9% snap share, 12 carries, and a 0.6% target share that left him with just 6.1 fantasy points. The efficiency wasn't there to justify more, either, with a brutal minus-0.29 EPA per play. Even the surface 5.0 yards per carry is noise off a 12-attempt sample, and a fumble on only three rushing chances per broken tackle hardly screams trusted back.

Go back to his last real workload in 2023, when 178 carries produced only 3.44 yards a pop and two scores across 15 games, and the ceiling looks just as capped. Now in Carolina, he projects as a touchdown-dependent committee piece buried on the depth chart, with usage that may not even clear RB2 duties. There's no realistic path to fantasy relevance here unless an injury ahead of him forces volume his way. Leave him on waivers.

His efficiency (2.67 yards after contact per carry, 10th of 95 RBs in 2025) supports that. His receiving role (0.5 targets per game, 77th of 95 RBs in 2025) holds him back. See his live rank in Redraft Command.

What is AJ Dillon's rest-of-season fantasy ranking?

AJ Dillon is the RB75 in PPR points per game through Week 4. That puts him in depth RB territory, waiver-wire material in 10-team PPR leagues.

What is AJ Dillon's projected role going forward?

AJ Dillon is RB2 on the depth chart, so a bigger role needs an injury or a change ahead of him.

Will AJ Dillon get more touches?

AJ Dillon's touches are holding steady: 4.0 a game over his last two games against 4.3 for the season. His share of the offense is what his fantasy value rides on.

What is AJ Dillon's fantasy football upside?

AJ Dillon's upside: his ceiling this season is 2.8 PPR points (Week 1, RB59), his efficiency (2.67 yards after contact per carry, 10th of 95 RBs in 2025) gives him a weekly floor to build on and the Packers in Week 8 is a top-10 matchup for RBs.

What could hurt AJ Dillon's fantasy value?

AJ Dillon's risks: his receiving role (0.5 targets per game, 77th of 95 RBs in 2025) limits his scoring and the Eagles in Week 6 is a tough matchup. See his injury status and history.
