How the dynasty running back rankings are built

Each running back carries a live market value fitted to completed dynasty trades, not an editor's opinion. Players are ranked on that value; the gap to a model value built from production and a per-position age curve is what the trade tools read as a buy or sell signal.

Why running backs rank the way they do

Running backs are the position where age does the most damage and where the market and the model most often disagree. A back's dynasty value is production now discounted by how few seasons of it are left, and the chart puts both numbers beside each other.

Age at running back

Backs fall off years before receivers do, so the model's age curve is steepest here: two backs with the same production and a three-year age gap are not close in dynasty value, and the win-now column is where the older one's real worth shows.
