Preseason Projection vs. Reality
He finished WR140 last season at 2.2 points per game.
Our Take After Week 4
Through 1 game he's WR181 at −2.0 PPR points per game, against 2.2 over 13 games last season (WR140). He's running behind last season's pace.
Last season he ranked 120th of 142 in target volume (3.1% target share), 124th of 142 in downfield role (2.6% air-yards share) and 70th of 142 in efficiency (1.46 yards per route run). Downfield role is the soft spot. Bryce Young is his quarterback.
The next favorable matchup is the Ravens in Week 6 (6th against WRs).

Published June 16, 2026. Kept for reference; the take above replaces it.
Horn closed his rookie year ranked 143rd among receivers, but the underlying work hinted at more than the box score showed. Across 10 games he ran routes on just 13.5% of snaps, yet still posted 0.203 targets per route run and a tidy 1.46 yards per route run. A 73.3% catch rate, 0.231 EPA per play and a 46.7% success rate all point to a runner who delivered when the ball found him, even with a microscopic 3.1% target share.
The problem was volume, not production: 15 targets and zero touchdowns leave plenty of runway. At age 22 with an 18.2% avoided-tackle rate and yards-after-catch chops, Horn profiles as a Year 2 breakout candidate the moment the snap count climbs. If the route rate doubles, his per-route efficiency suggests a real flex ceiling. For now, treat him as a cheap upside dart with the underlying metrics on his side.
