Klein arrives as a raw developmental tight end with no NFL advanced stats to assess and a depth-chart spot that says everything: he is the No. 3 option in Houston behind veteran starter Dalton Schultz and blocking-specialist Foster Moreau, with Cade Stover also in the mix. That is a crowded room with an entrenched lead man who soaks up the receiving work, leaving Klein with virtually no projectable target volume in 2026.
With Schultz handling the pass-catching duties and the rest of the room rotating, there is no standalone fantasy case to make. Rookie and second-year tight ends rarely produce regardless of opportunity, and Klein would need an injury to Schultz simply to see the field consistently.
