Our Take After Week 4

Through 3 games he's RB45 at 5.1 PPR points per game, against 3.2 over 17 games last season (RB67). He's running ahead of last season's pace.

Last season he ranked 64th of 95 in rushing volume (4.1 carries per game), 76th of 95 in receiving role (0.5 targets per game) and 63rd of 95 in efficiency (1.69 yards after contact per carry). Receiving role is the soft spot. Malik Willis is his quarterback.

He's RB2 on the depth chart, so his value depends on the players ahead of him.

The next favorable matchup is the Jets in Week 7 (9th against RBs).

Published June 17, 2026. Kept for reference; the take above replaces it.

Gordon's rookie tape was rough on efficiency. Across 17 games on a thin 22.4 percent snap share, he managed 70 carries for 199 yards, a brutal 2.84 yards per carry, plus seven catches for 32 yards, totaling 47.1 fantasy points and an RB71 rank. His -0.165 EPA per play, 16 tackles-for-loss absorbed, and 1.16 yards before contact per attempt point to a runner who struggled to find daylight. The redeeming notes: three rushing touchdowns on six goal-line carries, six broken tackles, and 1.69 yards after contact show short-yardage value.

The role is the problem. In Miami he sits behind explosive lead back De'Von Achane with Jaylen Wright also in the mix, capping Gordon as a goal-line and early-down complement rather than a volume play. His standalone profile is touchdown-dependent with no receiving role to lean on. He is a late-round dart and handcuff stash whose value spikes only if Achane misses time; otherwise leave him benched in redraft.
