Published June 17, 2026. Kept for reference; the take above replaces it.
DeVito remains a deep backup with a thin, inefficient body of work. His 2024 Giants cameo was two games, 31-of-44 for 257 yards, zero touchdowns and zero picks, a tidy 70.5 completion mark and 4.7 CPOE but a -0.185 EPA per play and 36.2 percent success rate that scream conservative dink-and-dunk (4.5 completed air yards per completion, just 2 percent deep attempts). His fuller 2023 sample, nine games, 1,101 yards, eight touchdowns and a -0.209 EPA per play with a brutal 37 sacks taken, confirmed a checkdown profile that does not move the needle.
Now buried behind Drake Maye on the Patriots depth chart, DeVito has no path to snaps barring injury, and even as a starter he offers little, modest rushing (36 carries, 195 yards, one score in 2023) cannot offset the lack of passing volume or downfield juice. He is strictly a name to ignore in redraft and a non-factor in superflex unless Maye misses time. Waiver wire, full stop.
