Our Take After Week 4

Through 2 games he's WR111 at 3.9 PPR points per game, against 8.1 over 8 games last season (WR96). He's running behind last season's pace.

Last season he ranked 107th of 142 in target volume (4.8% target share), 89th of 142 in downfield role (9.0% air-yards share) and 97th of 142 in efficiency (1.18 yards per route run). Target volume is the soft spot. Drew Lock is his quarterback.

He's WR2 on the depth chart, so his value depends on the players ahead of him.

Read our preseason outlook (June 2026)

Published June 17, 2026. Kept for reference; the take above replaces it.

Horton packed a lot of upside into a tiny rookie sample. The 2025 fifth-rounder played eight games on a 48.1 percent snap share, running 136 routes for 22 targets and 13-161-5, with an eye-popping five touchdowns on just a 4.8 percent target share. The downfield profile is the draw: 15.32 air yards per target, 25.92 air yards per reception, and a 0.466 EPA per play with a 54.5 percent success rate and zero drops on 13 catchable balls, elite efficiency for a Day 3 receiver buried behind Jaxon Smith-Njigba.

The touchdown rate (five scores on 13 grabs) is wildly unsustainable, and his 0.135 WOPR and 1.18 yards per route flag how thin the volume was. Still behind JSN and Jake Bobo on the Seahawks chart, Horton needs a target bump to matter weekly, but the 22-year-old vertical separator offers breakout equity if Seattle expands his role. He is a late-round dart in redraft and, more compellingly, a worthwhile dynasty stash with WR3 upside.

What is Tory Horton's projected role going forward?

Tory Horton is WR2 on the depth chart, so a bigger role needs an injury or a change ahead of him.

What is Tory Horton's fantasy football upside?

Tory Horton's upside: his ceiling this season is 7.8 PPR points (Week 3, WR55).

What could hurt Tory Horton's fantasy value?

Tory Horton's risks: his target volume (4.8% target share, 107th of 142 WRs in 2025) limits his scoring and the 49ers in Week 5 and the Broncos in Week 6 are tough matchups. See his injury status and history.

How difficult is Tory Horton's remaining fantasy schedule?

Difficult: of his next seven games, 1 comes against a top-10 matchup for WRs and 5 against one of the stingiest defenses, by PPR points allowed to the position.
