Our 2026 Preseason Outlook
By the StatChasers staff. Published .
Chandlers value has cratered. In 2025 he managed just 3 games, 17 carries for 47 yards (2.76 YPC), a -0.302 EPA per play, and 5.8 fantasy points on a 22.3 percent snap share, ranking RB108. That continued a downward slide from 2024 (14 games, 56 carries, 3.25 YPC, 13.9 snap percent, RB77) and is a far cry from his 2023 high of 102 carries, 461 yards at 4.52 YPC, 3 touchdowns, and 80 fantasy points. The explosive juice is gone: zero runs of 10-plus yards in 2025 versus an 8.82 explosive-run rate in 2023.
The move to New Orleans is a fresh backfield, but the 27-year-old former fifth-rounder enters as a depth piece with no clear path to volume and just 1.82 yards after contact per attempt last year. Availability has also been a problem, averaging 9.3 games over three seasons. Absent an injury ahead of him, there is no standalone fantasy case. He is a waiver-wire afterthought and a handcuff worth monitoring only in deep leagues.
