Preseason Projection vs. Reality
Our Take After Week 4
Through 2 games he's WR67 at 9.2 PPR points per game.
The main risk is the job itself. He's the listed starter with Ryan Miller next on the depth chart, and a benching or an injury would take his value to zero overnight.

Published June 17, 2026. Kept for reference; the take above replaces it.
Miami spent the 75th overall pick on Douglas and then gutted its receiver room, handing the 6-3, 206-pound rookie a genuine path to early snaps with little veteran talent blocking the way. A two-year starter out of Texas Tech, he profiles as a smooth route runner with sharp change-of-direction and juke ability, and his spread-offense background should slot cleanly into the scheme. That opportunity is why he draws top-20 buzz in rookie-only drafts and late-round flier interest in deeper redraft pools.
Temper the excitement, though. The current projection lands around 35 catches for 440 yards and a couple of scores, roughly 57 fantasy points, which is bye-week filler at best. The college production backs the caution: he ranked 158th and 116th in yards per route run his final two seasons, and evaluators see a long strider rather than a burner. Draft him as a lottery ticket, not a roster lock.
