Preseason Projection vs. Reality
He finished RB79 last season at 1.9 points per game.
Our Take After Week 4
Through 3 games he's RB68 at 2.6 PPR points per game, against 1.9 over 17 games last season (RB79). The role is producing the same fantasy output two years running.
Last season he ranked 79th of 95 in rushing volume (1.6 carries per game), 56th of 95 in receiving role (1.0 targets per game) and 49th of 95 in efficiency (1.85 yards after contact per carry). Rushing volume is the soft spot. Jordan Love is his quarterback.
He's RB3 on the depth chart, so his value depends on the players ahead of him.
The next favorable matchup is the Cowboys in Week 6 (8th against RBs).
Read our preseason outlook (June 2026)
Published June 17, 2026. Kept for reference; the take above replaces it.
Brooks has spent three seasons as a low-volume rotational back, and the 2025 tape shows the role shrinking rather than growing. He played 17 games but logged just a 20.1% snap share, turning 27 carries into 106 yards at 3.93 a pop with zero touchdowns, and his -0.136 EPA per play was the worst mark of his career outside his 2023 cameo. The burst that flashed earlier is gone: he managed one broken tackle on the season and just 1.85 yards after contact per attempt, down sharply from 2.44 in 2024.
The receiving profile offers the only sliver of upside, with 13 grabs on 17 targets for 91 yards, but a 3.7% target share doesn't move the needle. Until he climbs Green Bay's backfield pecking order, there's no path to fantasy relevance. He's a roster-clogging dart throw at best and belongs on the waiver wire in every format heading into 2026.
