Preseason Projection vs. Reality
He was projected as a backup-level fantasy quarterback. Four weeks in, he's QB18, scoring at almost exactly last season's pace.
Our Take After Week 4
We projected Brissett in the QB30 range this summer. Through 3 games he's QB18 at 16.5 PPR points per game, against 16.8 over 14 games last season (QB16). The role is producing the same fantasy output two years running.
Last season he ranked 5th of 41 in passing volume (34.6 attempts per game), 25th of 41 in efficiency (0.004 EPA per play) and 26th of 41 in rushing (12.0 rush yards per game). His points come from his passing volume. Rushing is the soft spot. Trey McBride and Michael Wilson are his top two targets.
The main risk is the job itself. He's the listed starter with Gardner Minshew II next on the depth chart, and a benching or an injury would take his value to zero overnight.
The next favorable matchup is the Lions in Week 5 (1st against QBs).
Read our preseason outlook (June 2026)
Published June 16, 2026. Kept for reference; the take above replaces it.
Pressed into duty after Kyler Murray's injury, Brissett delivered the QB14 finish on 227.4 fantasy points across 14 games, throwing 23 touchdowns against just 8 picks. Dig under the volume, though, and the efficiency screams regression: 0.004 EPA per play, a 45.8% success rate, and only a 1.6 CPOE. He took 43 sacks behind a 27.5% pressure rate and posted a 17.6% bad-throw mark, so the production leaned heavily on opportunity rather than elite play.
Arizona hands him the keys again entering 2026, but the runway is short with Carson Beck and an unresolved contract hovering. A loaded supporting cast in McBride and Harrison Jr. props up the ceiling, yet the modest 8.7% deep-attempt rate and pedestrian air-yards profile cap upside. He's a viable QB2 and superflex target around the QB30 range, not a single-league starter worth chasing on last year's spike.

Jacoby Brissett Fantasy Outlook FAQ
What is Jacoby Brissett's fantasy outlook for the rest of the 2026 season?
Jacoby Brissett projects as a volume-driven QB2 with streaming weeks for the rest of the 2026 season: a weekly starter in superflex and 2QB leagues and a streamer in 1QB leagues. His passing volume (34.6 attempts per game, 5th of 41 QBs in 2025) supports that. His rushing (12.0 rush yards per game, 26th of 41 QBs in 2025) holds him back. See his live rank in Redraft Command.
What is Jacoby Brissett's rest-of-season fantasy ranking?
Jacoby Brissett is the QB18 in PPR points per game through Week 4, against a preseason projection of about QB30. That puts him in QB2 territory, a streamer in 12-team 1QB leagues.
Should I buy low or sell high on Jacoby Brissett?
Jacoby Brissett is outperforming his projection, QB18 against about QB30, so his trade value is near its high. Selling is reasonable if an offer pays for the QB2 he has been rather than the QB3 he was projected to be.
What is Jacoby Brissett's projected role going forward?
Jacoby Brissett is the listed starting QB, with Gardner Minshew II next on the depth chart. Nothing on the chart threatens the job, so the role is his to lose on performance.
Will Jacoby Brissett get more pass attempts?
Jacoby Brissett's pass attempts are holding steady: 40.0 a game over his last two games against 39.0 for the season. Game script drives much of that, and trailing teams throw more.
What is Jacoby Brissett's fantasy football upside?
Jacoby Brissett's upside: his ceiling this season is 25.6 PPR points (Week 3, QB4), his passing volume (34.6 attempts per game, 5th of 41 QBs in 2025) gives him a weekly floor to build on and the Lions in Week 5 is a top-10 matchup for QBs.
What could hurt Jacoby Brissett's fantasy value?
Jacoby Brissett's risks: Gardner Minshew II is next on the depth chart if he is benched or hurt and his rushing (12.0 rush yards per game, 26th of 41 QBs in 2025) limits his scoring. See his injury status and history.
How difficult is Jacoby Brissett's remaining fantasy schedule?
Favorable: of his next seven games, 2 come against a top-10 matchup for QBs and 1 against one of the stingiest defenses, by PPR points allowed to the position.
