Our Take After Week 4

Through 3 games he's TE26 at 6.9 PPR points per game, against 2.1 over 8 games last season (TE81). He's running ahead of last season's pace.

Last season he ranked 79th of 81 in route participation (10.6%), 69th of 82 in target share (1.9%) and 63rd of 82 in efficiency (0.72 yards per route run). Route participation is the soft spot. Bo Nix is his quarterback.

He's TE3 on the depth chart, so his value depends on the players ahead of him.

The next favorable matchup is the Cardinals in Week 7 (6th against TEs).

Read our preseason outlook (June 2026)

Published June 16, 2026. Kept for reference; the take above replaces it.

Adkins is a fantasy non-factor, and our numbers spell out why. His 2025 campaign was a step backward: six games, a 32.8% snap share, and just 11 targets that produced a 1.9% target share, six catches, 48 yards and one score. The efficiency cratered, too, as he posted a minus-0.057 EPA per play, a 36.4% success rate, and a brutal 27.3% drop rate while ranking 85th at the position. Even his 0.72 yards per route run flagged him as a blocker first.

The one tease came in 2024, when 14 receptions on 0.73 YPRR carried a 73.3% success rate, a 0.605 EPA, three touchdowns and zero drops. That spike was tiny and tough to bank on. A one-year extension keeps him in Denver, but the role is clear: in-line blocker, not a pass-game asset. Leave him on waivers in all formats this season.
