Last season he ranked 21st of 81 in route participation (61.0%), 21st of 82 in target share (12.7%) and 8th of 82 in efficiency (1.74 yards per route run). His points come from his efficiency. Justin Herbert is his quarterback.

Read our preseason outlook (June 2026)

Published June 17, 2026. Kept for reference; the take above replaces it.

Gadsden's rookie year was an outright breakout for a fifth-round pick. Over 15 games on a 62.6 percent snap share, the 22-year-old ran 381 routes and converted a 12.7 percent target share into 49 catches for 664 yards (13.55 per reception) and three touchdowns, totaling 82.4 fantasy points and a TE11 finish. The efficiency is excellent: 1.74 yards per route run, a 0.286 WOPR, and a 0.239 EPA per play with a 63.8 percent success rate. He was a true downfield seam threat, with 11 grabs of 20-plus yards and a 53-yard long.

The red-zone usage cements the ceiling: 15 red-zone targets and five end-zone looks, room to grow the three-score output. Six drops on 55 catchable balls is the lone blemish. With an entrenched role in the Chargers' offense and rising target volume, he profiles as a low-end TE1 with upside for more. He is a weekly starter in all formats and a strong buy in dynasty given his age and trajectory.
