Our Take After Week 4

Through 3 games he's WR106 at 3.0 PPR points per game.

The main risk is the job itself. He's the listed starter with Barion Brown next on the depth chart, and a benching or an injury would take his value to zero overnight.

The next favorable matchups are the Falcons in Week 4 (3rd against WRs) and the Giants in Week 6 (8th against WRs).

Read our preseason outlook (June 2026)

Published June 17, 2026. Kept for reference; the take above replaces it.

The Saints used a fourth-round pick on a 6-foot-3, 204-pound receiver who posted back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons at North Dakota State and tested like an athlete, running 4.34 with a 41-inch vertical. The college production and frame are real, but so is the traffic ahead of him: Chris Olave and Jordyn Tyson headline the room, with Juwan Johnson commanding targets from the slot and tight end spot. That logjam buries Lance on the depth chart, and the projection of roughly 16 catches for 204 yards and a score reflects a player fighting for snaps rather than touches.

For redraft purposes he's essentially undraftable, sitting around pick 298 ADP and rostered in about 1% of leagues. The dynasty case is sharper. A 61.5% contested-catch rate and a 3.8% drop rate point to reliable hands, and if Olave moves on after 2026, Lance has a clear runway to a WR2 role. Treat him as a late rookie-draft flier, not a contributor.
