Courtland Sutton Rest-of-Season Outlook
Downfield depth WR for deep leagues only
WR75 through Week 4 · 5.4 PPG · 34.4% air-yds share
Preseason Projection vs. Reality
He finished WR13 last season at 12.9 points per game.
Our Take After Week 4
Through 3 games he's WR75 at 5.4 PPR points per game, against 12.9 over 17 games last season (WR13). He's running behind last season's pace.
Last season he ranked 18th of 142 in target volume (21.2% target share), 11th of 142 in downfield role (34.4% air-yards share) and 43rd of 142 in efficiency (1.74 yards per route run). His points come from his downfield role. Bo Nix is his quarterback.
The main risk is the job itself. He's the listed starter with Lil'jordan Humphrey next on the depth chart, and a benching or an injury would take his value to zero overnight.
The next favorable matchup is the Cardinals in Week 7 (4th against WRs).

Published June 16, 2026. Kept for reference; the take above replaces it.
Sutton's WR12 finish in 2025 was built on opportunity more than dominance: a 21.2% target share, 124 targets across 17 games, and a 34.4% air-yards share that kept him the engine of Denver's downfield game. The efficiency, though, slipped from the prior year, with EPA per play climbing to 0.359 but yards per route run dipping to 1.74 and a 0.212 target-per-route rate that trails his 2024 mark. Seven scores on 74 grabs and 19 red-zone looks carried the fantasy line.
That touchdown dependence is the worry now. Bo Nix has leaned on him two straight seasons, but the arrival of Jaylen Waddle splinters a passing tree with little fresh volume to absorb, nudging Sutton toward a 1B role. His 1,017 yards and contested deep work keep a floor intact, yet the ceiling narrows. Treat him as a WR3 worth grabbing around the mid-rounds rather than reaching early.
