Deion Burks Rest-of-Season Outlook

A seventh-round rookie out of Oklahoma, Burks arrives as a 254th-overall flier whose calling card is pure juice: a 4.30 forty and the shiftiness to turn screens, drags, and underneath looks into chunk gains. He cleaned up his hands late in college, trimming his drop rate to 3.1%, and finished second on the Sooners in catches (57), yards (520), and scores (4). The athletic profile is real; the size and a 36.8% contested-catch rate are not.

The problem is fit and footing. Burks ran 77.9% of his routes outside in 2025 but projects strictly to the slot in the NFL, and Shane Steichen's two- and three-tight-end leanings squeeze undersized inside receivers. He has to beat out Nick Westbrook-Ikhine just for WR3 reps, and his ADP near 327 reflects that. Stash him in deep dynasty formats and leave him alone in redraft until a role materializes.
