Claiborne arrives in Minnesota with genuine juice: a 4.37 forty translates to real game breakaway speed, second only to Jeremiyah Love among this rookie class, and he flashed cutback feel on zone runs at Wake Forest, where he piled up 2,599 career rushing yards and 26 scores, including a 907-yard, 10-touchdown All-ACC senior season. The athletic ceiling is the whole pitch here.
The path to touches, though, is choked. He sits third behind Jordan Mason and Aaron Jones, and projections reflect that reality at just 27.7 carries, 121.5 rushing yards and roughly 20 fantasy points for the year. Spotty vision, shaky hands (five fumbles and six drops as a senior) and limited pass protection cap any quick climb. Jones' shaky durability is the only real lever. Treat Claiborne as a dynasty stash and speculative handcuff, not a 2026 redraft asset.
