Our Take After Week 4

Through 3 games he's TE49 at 2.8 PPR points per game, against 0.9 over 10 games last season (TE92). He's running ahead of last season's pace.

Last season he ranked 70th of 81 in route participation (17.1%), 75th of 82 in target share (1.5%) and 77th of 82 in efficiency (0.36 yards per route run). Efficiency is the soft spot. Drew Lock is his quarterback.

He's TE2 on the depth chart, so his value depends on the players ahead of him.

Read our preseason outlook (June 2026)

Published June 17, 2026. Kept for reference; the take above replaces it.

Saubert remains a back-end blocking tight end whose 2025 line tells the whole story: nine games, a 39.5% snap rate but just 86 routes, and only seven targets that produced four catches for 31 yards and zero scores. A 17.1% route rate and 1.5% target share leave him buried in the passing game, and a 0.36 yards-per-route-run mark confirms he carries no aerial value even when he is on the field. The lone bright spot was efficiency on a tiny sample, with a 0.214 EPA per play, but volume that thin never translates to fantasy production.

Now 31 and entering 2026 in Seattle, he sits behind A.J. Barner and Elijah Arroyo on the depth chart, leaving him third at best with no clear route to meaningful work. His 2024 stint in San Francisco (11 catches, 97 yards, one touchdown) marks his recent ceiling. Outside the deepest dynasty formats, there is nothing to chase here unless an injury opens the door.
