Our Take After Week 4

Through 2 games he's RB95 at 0.5 PPR points per game, against 4.8 over 10 games last season (RB69). He's running behind last season's pace.

Last season he ranked 44th of 95 in rushing volume (7.8 carries per game), 56th of 95 in receiving role (1.0 targets per game) and 13th of 95 in efficiency (2.51 yards after contact per carry). His points come from his efficiency. Receiving role is the soft spot. Malik Willis is his quarterback.

The main risk is the job itself. He's the listed starter with Ollie Gordon II next on the depth chart, and a benching or an injury would take his value to zero overnight.

The next favorable matchup is the Jets in Week 7 (9th against RBs).

Published June 17, 2026. Kept for reference; the take above replaces it.

Two pro seasons in, Wright hasn't forced the issue. Across nine games in 2025 he carried 70 times for 288 yards at 4.11 a pop with two scores, but the efficiency picture stays grim: a minus-0.093 EPA per play, just 21.5 percent of snaps, and 2.51 yards after contact per attempt. His receiving role is essentially nonexistent at nine targets and a 1.9 percent target share. The flashes are real, including a 32-yard run and a breakaway, yet six rushes for negative yards and two fumbles in limited work undercut the upside.

The path is the problem. De'Von Achane owns this backfield, leaving Wright as the clear RB2 with no standalone value. Projections around 300 rushing yards and roughly 42 fantasy points reflect that ceiling, and an ADP near pick 253 confirms the market. He's a pure handcuff, and a worthwhile one given Achane's injury history, but draft him only as insurance, not for weekly production.

Jaylen Wright Fantasy Outlook FAQ

What is Jaylen Wright's fantasy outlook for the rest of the 2026 season?

Jaylen Wright projects as an efficient depth RB for deep leagues only for the rest of the 2026 season: waiver-wire material in 12-team PPR, 10-team PPR and half-PPR leagues. His efficiency (2.51 yards after contact per carry, 13th of 95 RBs in 2025) supports that. His receiving role (1.0 targets per game, 56th of 95 RBs in 2025) holds him back. See his live rank in Redraft Command.

What is Jaylen Wright's rest-of-season fantasy ranking?

Jaylen Wright is the RB95 in PPR points per game through Week 4. That puts him in depth RB territory, waiver-wire material in 10-team PPR leagues.

What is Jaylen Wright's projected role going forward?

Jaylen Wright is the listed starting RB, with Ollie Gordon II next on the depth chart. Nothing on the chart threatens the job, so the role is his to lose on performance.

What is Jaylen Wright's fantasy football upside?

Jaylen Wright's upside: his ceiling this season is 1.1 PPR points (Week 2, RB73), his efficiency (2.51 yards after contact per carry, 13th of 95 RBs in 2025) gives him a weekly floor to build on and the Jets in Week 7 is a top-10 matchup for RBs.

What could hurt Jaylen Wright's fantasy value?

Jaylen Wright's risks: Ollie Gordon II is next on the depth chart if he is benched or hurt, his receiving role (1.0 targets per game, 56th of 95 RBs in 2025) limits his scoring and the Vikings in Week 4 is a tough matchup. See his injury status and history.

How difficult is Jaylen Wright's remaining fantasy schedule?

Favorable: of his next seven games, 3 come against a top-10 matchup for RBs and 1 against one of the stingiest defenses, by PPR points allowed to the position.
