Our Take After Week 4

Through 1 game he's QB47 at 0.0 PPR points per game, against 11.9 over 8 games last season (QB37). He's running behind last season's pace.

Last season he ranked 32nd of 41 in passing volume (26.5 attempts per game), 40th of 41 in efficiency (-0.23 EPA per play) and 15th of 41 in rushing (21.1 rush yards per game). Efficiency is the soft spot. KC Concepcion and Harold Fannin are his top two targets.

He's QB2 on the depth chart, so his value depends on the players ahead of him.

Read our preseason outlook (June 2026)

Published June 16, 2026. Kept for reference; the take above replaces it.

The 2025 tape is hard to spin. Across eight games Sanders posted a brutal minus-0.232 EPA per play and a 36.7% success rate, with a minus-5 CPOE confirming he completed fewer passes than expectation. He threw 10 picks against just seven scores, completed only 56.6% of his attempts, and averaged a tiny 4.8 air yards per completion while leaning on dink-and-dunk volume. The protection cratered too: a 40.3% pressure rate, 23 sacks and a 3.24-second time to throw that invited the rush.

There are slivers of upside. He flashed deep, hitting four passes of 50-plus yards and a 66-yard long, and added 169 rushing yards at 9.3 per scramble. Cleveland is still an open competition with Watson, and a new staff plus fresh line and receiver investments could lift the floor. But until the efficiency turns, he is a Superflex-only dart at QB34 ADP, not a one-QB roster piece.
