Our Take After Week 4

Through 3 games he's TE29 at 6.4 PPR points per game, against 4.0 over 13 games last season (TE52). He's running ahead of last season's pace.

Last season he ranked 58th of 81 in route participation (27.1%), 52nd of 82 in target share (4.3%) and 24th of 82 in efficiency (1.38 yards per route run). His points come from his efficiency. Route participation is the soft spot. Matthew Stafford is his quarterback.

He's on injured reserve, ankle. Until he's back, his value is a bench spot at most, and Tyler Higbee takes his snaps.

The next favorable matchups are the Cardinals in Week 6 (6th against TEs) and the Raiders in Week 7 (4th against TEs).

Read our preseason outlook (June 2026)

Published June 17, 2026. Kept for reference; the take above replaces it.

Ferguson, the Rams second-round rookie (Pick 46, Oregon), flashed vertical juice rarely seen at tight end: in 11 games on a thin 36.7 percent snap share he turned 25 targets into 11 catches for 231 yards, three scores and a sparkling 21 yards per reception. His 18.64 air yards per target and 0.295 EPA per play scream big-play threat, but a 44 percent catch rate and 17.36 yards before the catch per grab reveal a feast-or-famine, downfield-only role with little underneath volume.

That profile produced just 41.1 fantasy points and a 4.3 percent target share, the mark of a complementary piece behind Los Angeles veterans. The path to fantasy relevance runs through expanded snaps and red-zone work, where he saw three targets and two end-zone looks. Year two could bring a leap if the Rams clear the depth chart, making him a worthwhile dynasty stash. For 2026 redraft, treat him as a TD-dependent streaming dart, not a startable weekly tight end.
