Should You Start or Roster Tim Patrick?

Patrick keeps fading as a peripheral piece. After a useful 2024 in Detroit (15 games, 59.2 percent snaps, 335 routes, 44 targets, 33-394-3 on an 8.4 percent target share and 0.425 EPA per play), his 2025 split between Detroit and Jacksonville cratered to a 31.8 percent snap share, 152 routes and just 24 targets for 15-187-3. The 4.4 percent target share, 0.103 WOPR and 36.7 fantasy points ranked WR122, and even the 0.237 EPA per play was buoyed by three red-zone scores on nine red-zone looks rather than real volume.

Now 32 and parked behind Adonai Mitchell on the Jets depth chart, Patrick projects as a touchdown-or-bust backup whose only fantasy hook is the nine red-zone and four end-zone targets he drew in a part-time role. With Garrett Wilson commanding the targets and a thin route count likely again, there is no startable path here. Leave him on waivers and only spot-stream in deep best-ball or a bye-week emergency.

Our 2026 Preseason Outlook

Tim Patrick Fantasy Outlook FAQ

What is Tim Patrick's fantasy outlook for the rest of the 2026 season?

Tim Patrick projects as a depth WR on the sideline for now for the rest of the 2026 season: waiver-wire material in 12-team PPR, 10-team PPR and half-PPR leagues. His downfield role (5.3% air-yards share, 115th of 142 WRs in 2025) holds him back. See his live rank in Redraft Command.

What is Tim Patrick's rest-of-season fantasy ranking?

Tim Patrick is the WR108 in PPR points per game. That puts him in depth WR territory, waiver-wire material in 10-team PPR leagues.

What could hurt Tim Patrick's fantasy value?

Tim Patrick's risks: he is on injured reserve, groin, his downfield role (5.3% air-yards share, 115th of 142 WRs in 2025) limits his scoring and the Bears in Week 4 and the Dolphins in Week 7 are tough matchups. See his injury status and history.

How difficult is Tim Patrick's remaining fantasy schedule?

Difficult: of his next seven games, 1 comes against a top-10 matchup for WRs and 4 against one of the stingiest defenses, by PPR points allowed to the position.
