Read our preseason outlook (June 2026)
Published June 17, 2026. Kept for reference; the take above replaces it.
Allen's 2025 was a four-game blip cut short by injury, and the underlying numbers were rough: 4.22 yards per carry on just 18 totes, a brutal -0.379 EPA per play, only 1.83 yards after contact, plus a fumble and two tackles for loss. His fuller 2024 sample tells the real story of where he is as a runner - 92 carries for 334 yards (3.63 per pop), two scores, and a passable 2.09 yards after contact across 17 games while logging 19 catches on 27 targets.
The profile is a young, powerful back with three-down tools who simply cannot find volume behind an entrenched starter. He sat around 23-26 percent of snaps the past two years, and his fantasy value is almost entirely contingent on an injury or trade clearing the lead role. Until then he is a late-round stash and pure handcuff, valuable mostly to managers already holding Hall.
