Our Take After Week 4

Through 2 games he's TE21 at 12.5 PPR points per game, against 12.3 over 15 games last season (TE7). The role is producing the same fantasy output two years running.

Last season he ranked 12th of 81 in route participation (77.5%), 9th of 82 in target share (17.7%) and 21st of 82 in efficiency (1.44 yards per route run). His points come from his target share. Jalen Hurts is his quarterback.

He's out, knee - mcl. Until he's back, his value is a bench spot at most, and Johnny Mundt takes his snaps.

The next favorable matchup is the Cowboys in Week 7 (8th against TEs).

Read our preseason outlook (June 2026)

Published June 17, 2026. Kept for reference; the take above replaces it.

Goedert's 2025 looked like a breakout, but the engine tells a quieter story. He turned 82 targets into 60 grabs and 591 yards while finishing TE14 with 125.1 points, and his efficiency stayed elite: a 0.441 EPA per play and a 58.5% success rate that few tight ends touch. The catch is the touchdowns. Eleven scores, many on shovel passes inside the five, drove that fantasy line despite a pedestrian 1.44 yards per route run and a 17.7% target share that screams secondary option.

That scoring spike is the regression flag. He cleared 15 red-zone looks and nine end-zone targets, but more than double his previous single-season high in touchdowns rarely sticks, especially with a new play-caller and no guarantee the goal-line role survives. Back for a ninth year as Philadelphia's starter, he profiles as a steady late-round TE12-type bet — useful, but priced for the volume, not the touchdown luck.
