Efficient QB3 with streaming weeks
QB28 through Week 4 · 10.4 PPG · 0.17 EPA/play
Preseason Projection vs. Reality
He finished QB17 last season at 18.0 points per game.
Our Take After Week 4
Through 3 games he's QB28 at 10.4 PPR points per game, against 18.0 over 13 games last season (QB17). He's running behind last season's pace.
Last season he ranked 22nd of 41 in passing volume (29.5 attempts per game), 5th of 41 in efficiency (0.17 EPA per play) and 25th of 41 in rushing (12.6 rush yards per game). His points come from his efficiency. Rushing is the soft spot. Josh Downs and Tyler Warren are his top two targets.
The main risk is the job itself. He's the listed starter with Anthony Richardson SR. next on the depth chart, and a benching or an injury would take his value to zero overnight.
The next favorable matchup is the Commanders in Week 4 (2nd against QBs).

Published June 17, 2026. Kept for reference; the take above replaces it.
Indianapolis bet on Jones and the early returns validated it: across 13 games in 2025 he posted a 0.169 EPA per play, a 51% success rate and a plus-2.3 CPOE, completing 68% for 3,101 yards with 19 touchdowns against just eight picks. That is a massive leap from his 2024 NYG line, where he graded out negative (-0.056 EPA, 44.9% success) over 10 games. He chipped in five rushing scores on 45 carries, and his 226.4 fantasy points landed him at QB18 despite the shortened year.
The catch is health. A December Achilles tear, on top of an earlier fibula fracture, clouds the legs that powered his ceiling, and OTA reports limited him to 7-on-7 work. The pass-catching room thinned with Pittman gone, leaving Pierce as the main holdover. Treat him as a back-end QB2 and a draft-day discount until Week 1 availability is confirmed.
