Matchups to Exploit: Week 8 (2025) Fantasy Football

Oct 25, 2025 | Other

Every week, we dive into the data to highlight exploitable fantasy matchups — the defenses bleeding points to specific positions. Whether you’re setting lineups or building DFS stacks, here’s where to attack in Week 8 of the 2025 NFL season.

Quarterbacks to Target

Caleb Williams @ Ravens — Baltimore ranks 2nd-most generous to QBs (25.4 FP/G; 14 passing TDs allowed in 6 games). Chicago’s tempo and deep-shot approach give Williams upside for his first 3-TD day since Week 3.

Jordan Love @ Steelers — Pittsburgh allows 24.6 FP/G to QBs with chunk yardage through the seams. Love’s vertical chemistry with Golden and Doubs makes this an ideal contrarian play.

Tyrod Taylor/Justin Fields (streamer) @ Bengals — Cincinnati gives up 24.0 FP/G to passers (16 pass TDs allowed). Desperation streaming play, but the matchup supports a 250-yard, 2-TD outcome.

🚫 Fade Alert: Quarterbacks facing the Texans, Falcons, or Browns have averaged bottom-three QB fantasy output.

Running Backs to Exploit

Jonathan Taylor vs Titans — Tennessee is 3rd-most generous to RBs (23.1 FP/G, 10 rush TDs). Expect 20+ touches as Indy looks to control pace at home.

Breece Hall @ Bengals — Cincinnati has surrendered the most RB points in football (25.3 FP/G; 859 rush yds, 10 total TDs). Hall’s dual-threat role gives him overall RB1 potential this week.

Rachaad White @ Saints — New Orleans ranks bottom-10 vs RBs (19.2 FP/G). White’s consistent receiving role keeps his floor steady even in a tough road environment.

💡 Pro Tip: Use our Lineup Optimizer to stack RBs facing bottom-five run defenses.

Wide Receiver Matchups to Attack

Packers WRs @ Steelers — Pittsburgh allows 23.5 FP/G to WRs and has been torched by slot and deep threats alike. Golden and Doubs both offer boom potential.

Titans WRs @ Colts — Indianapolis is 3rd-worst vs WRs (25.5 FP/G, 9 TDs). Cam Ward may only need 25 attempts for one of these WRs to spike.

Bears WRs @ Ravens — Baltimore is 2nd-worst vs WRs (26.0 FP/G). Rome Odunze and DJ Moore are viable starters.

🔥 Stack Spotlight: Williams + Odunze vs BAL is one of the top value stacks of Week 8.

Tight Ends to Exploit

Mason Taylor @ Bengals — Cincinnati has allowed 9 TE TDs already (15.4 FP/G). Deep-league stream of the week.

Tyler Warren vs Titans — Tennessee’s soft-zone coverage yields short-yardage TE scores.

Steelers TEs vs Packers — Green Bay ranks 2nd-worst vs TEs (11.3 FP/G, 5 TDs). A sneaky mid-range streamer if Rodgers funnels targets inside.

Avoid: TEs playing against Falcons, Bills, Eagles, and Chiefs — all allowing only up to 4 FP/G to tight ends on average.

Quick Hits

  • Best QB leverage: Bears @ BAL, Packers @ PIT
  • RB smash scripts: Jets @ CIN, Colts vs TEN, Bucs @ NO
  • WR ceilings: Packers @ PIT, Titans @ IND, Bears @ BAL
  • TE punts: Jets @ CIN, Steelers vs GB
