Our Take After Week 4

Through 2 games he's QB27 at 16.2 PPR points per game, against 16.8 over 7 games last season (QB34). The role is producing the same fantasy output two years running.

Last season he ranked 31st of 41 in passing volume (26.9 attempts per game), 27th of 41 in efficiency (-0.012 EPA per play) and 2nd of 41 in rushing (39.7 rush yards per game). His points come from his rushing. Passing volume is the soft spot. Stefon Diggs and Terry McLaurin are his top two targets.

He's out, elbow. Until he's back, his value is a bench spot at most, and Marcus Mariota takes his snaps.

The next favorable matchups are the Colts in Week 4 (5th against QBs) and the Eagles in Week 8 (7th against QBs).

Read our preseason outlook (June 2026)

Published June 17, 2026. Kept for reference; the take above replaces it.

The rookie version was a fantasy cheat code: 0.162 EPA per play, a plus-3.5 CPOE, 48.3% success rate, 891 rushing yards on 148 carries and six scores, good for QB16 in points while finishing top-tier in efficiency. Then 2025 cratered. Across just seven games his EPA per play went negative (-0.012), CPOE flipped to -2.7, completions sank to 60.6%, and yards per attempt collapsed to 6.7 as elbow, knee and ankle issues piled up. The rushing fell off too, with the long passing dimension thinning out.

The rushing floor is what keeps him a QB1: even a partial 2025 produced 278 ground yards and two scores, and a full year approaches 700-plus on the ground. The risk is real, though. The pass-catching corps behind Terry McLaurin is thin, the schedule grades brutally, and the body must hold up. Draft him as a rebound bet around the QB4-6 tier, not the locked-in star of a year ago.

Jayden Daniels Fantasy Outlook FAQ

What is Jayden Daniels's fantasy outlook for the rest of the 2026 season?

Jayden Daniels projects as a dual-threat QB3 on the sideline for now for the rest of the 2026 season: a bench stash in superflex and 2QB and 12-team 1QB leagues and waiver-wire material in 10-team 1QB leagues. His rushing (39.7 rush yards per game, 2nd of 41 QBs in 2025) supports that. His passing volume (26.9 attempts per game, 31st of 41 QBs in 2025) holds him back. See his live rank in Redraft Command.

What is Jayden Daniels's rest-of-season fantasy ranking?

Jayden Daniels is the QB27 in PPR points per game through Week 4. That puts him in QB3 territory, a bench stash in 12-team 1QB leagues.

What is Jayden Daniels's projected role going forward?

Jayden Daniels is the listed starting QB, with Marcus Mariota next on the depth chart. He is out, elbow for now, which puts that role on hold.

What is Jayden Daniels's fantasy football upside?

Jayden Daniels's upside: his ceiling this season is 17.7 PPR points (Week 1, QB14), his rushing (39.7 rush yards per game, 2nd of 41 QBs in 2025) gives him a weekly floor to build on and the Colts in Week 4 and the Eagles in Week 8 are top-10 matchups for QBs.

What could hurt Jayden Daniels's fantasy value?

Jayden Daniels's risks: he is out, elbow, his passing volume (26.9 attempts per game, 31st of 41 QBs in 2025) limits his scoring and the 49ers in Week 6 is a tough matchup. See his injury status and history.

How difficult is Jayden Daniels's remaining fantasy schedule?

Favorable: of his next seven games, 2 come against a top-10 matchup for QBs and 1 against one of the stingiest defenses, by PPR points allowed to the position.
