Preseason Projection vs. Reality
He finished WR89 last season at 5.0 points per game.
Our Take After Week 4
Through 3 games he's WR14 at 15.4 PPR points per game, against 5.0 over 14 games last season (WR89). He's running ahead of last season's pace.
Last season he ranked 68th of 142 in target volume (9.6% target share), 67th of 142 in downfield role (12.9% air-yards share) and 71st of 142 in efficiency (1.45 yards per route run). Efficiency is the soft spot. Jordan Love is his quarterback.
The job is secure: he's the listed starter and one of the best at his position. The main risk is health, and J. Michael Sturdivant is next on the depth chart if he misses time.
The next favorable matchup is the Lions in Week 7 (2nd against WRs).

Published June 17, 2026. Kept for reference; the take above replaces it.
Goldens rookie year flashed the explosive profile that made him the 23rd pick out of Texas, but Green Bays committee buried his volume. He played 14 games on just a 53.2 percent snap share with a 48.2 percent route rate, drawing a thin 9.6 percent target share. The efficiency, however, popped: 12.55 air yards per target, a 1.45 yards-per-route mark, a 0.382 EPA per play and only one drop on the season (2.3 percent). On 44 targets he caught 29 for 361 yards, with 4 grabs of 30-plus, but found the end zone zero times.
That touchdown drought and the lack of red-zone usage (2 targets) are the ceiling killers, as is a crowded Packers receiver room that suppresses any single players workload. The talent and first-round draft capital argue for a year-two leap if route share expands, making him a tantalizing dynasty hold. For 2026 redraft, the wide-open target tree keeps him a boom-or-bust WR4 and bench stash rather than a trusted weekly flex.
