Our Take After Week 4

Through 3 games he's RB5 at 21.2 PPR points per game, against 21.3 over 17 games last season (RB4). The role is producing the same fantasy output two years running.

Last season he ranked 1st of 95 in rushing volume (19.0 carries per game), 16th of 95 in receiving role (3.2 targets per game) and 20th of 95 in efficiency (2.35 yards after contact per carry). His points come from his rushing volume. Daniel Jones is his quarterback.

The job is secure: he's the listed starter and one of the best at his position. The main risk is health, and Seth McGowan is next on the depth chart if he misses time.

The next favorable matchup is the Steelers in Week 5 (10th against RBs).

Read our preseason outlook (June 2026)

Published June 17, 2026. Kept for reference; the take above replaces it.

Taylor's 2025 was a bell-cow masterclass: 316.3 fantasy points (RB3) on an 82.6% snap share, 323 carries for 1,585 yards at 4.91 a pop, and 18 rushing scores. His efficiency was driven, not lucky -- 2.35 yards after contact per attempt, 27 broken tackles, and an 11.2% explosive-run rate that produced nine runs of 20-plus and three over 50. The +0.074 EPA per play marked a hard rebound from his -0.098 mark in 2024, when a 14-game season still cleared 1,400 yards.

The receiving leap is the new wrinkle: 55 targets and 46 catches on a 10.4% target share, up from 18 grabs the year prior, which broadens his floor in PPR. The lone caveat is quarterback play -- his ceiling tracks closely with Daniel Jones' availability as Jones returns from an Achilles injury. With a top-six ADP and 74 red-zone touches plus 23 goal-line carries fueling the volume, Taylor is a locked-in early first-rounder.
